One small act = one possible life saved²

Most women never report. Most suffer silently. You can break that pattern. Statistics don’t lie:

Most victims never contact support services².

A large-scale study by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) revealed a shocking statistic: two-thirds (67%) of women who experienced the most severe cases of violence by a partner never reported it to the police or any other organization. This means that millions of cases of physical and sexual abuse remain invisible to official authorities. The main reasons for this silence are feelings of shame, fear, financial dependence on the abuser, and a lack of faith that seeking help will change anything. Source: European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), "Violence against women: an EU-wide survey," 2014.

Most abuse remains invisible for years³.

Domestic violence is often not a single incident but a long-term process that can continue for years before it is discovered. Although there is no EU-wide statistic on the average duration of abuse before the first report, data from specific studies paints a disturbing picture. For example, the FRA report notes that one in five women (21%) who were victims of stalking by a partner suffered from it for over two years. This shows the chronic nature of violence, which slowly escalates while remaining hidden from society and support services. Source: European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), "Violence against women: an EU-wide survey. Results at a glance," 2014.

Most lives are broken slowly — not suddenly.

Domestic violence has a devastating cumulative effect on women's lives. It's not just about immediate physical pain, but also long-term psychological trauma that slowly undermines health and well-being. A study by the European Parliament indicates that female victims suffer from a loss of self-esteem, feelings of vulnerability and anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. The consequences go far beyond the psychological realm, affecting physical health and economic stability, leading to social isolation and significant costs for society as a whole. In this way, violence gradually, day by day, destroys the foundations of a woman's life. Source: European Parliament, "Violence against women in the EU," 2019.

“It’s not that bad…”

...and other lies we tell ourselves
Denial is the most dangerous comfort zone.

You’ve heard her say it:

  • “He just gets stressed.”

  • “It’s my fault — I provoked him.”

  • “It only happens when he drinks.”

  • “He didn’t mean it.”

Safe Relationship WA.jpg

What if she’s waiting for someone — just one person — to quietly tell her: You don’t have to live like this

🫂 Be that person².

WomanAid won’t ask her questions. It will just be there. Silently, safely, when she’s ready.

Don’t wait until she says “I need help.” She may never say it².

Hidden signs that someone may be in an unsafe relationship.

Here’s what you may notice:

  • She cancels last minute — too often.

  • She’s suddenly “bad with money.”

  • Her confidence fades, slowly.

  • Her partner always texts. Always.

  • She speaks about “him” like a boss, not a partner.

  • She wants to leave — but somehow, never does.

👉 If even one of these feels familiar…

Don’t hesitate. Just share WomanAid. The Safe Relationship scenario will guide her — privately, step by step.

WomanAid Safety App.jpg

You can’t save her for her².

But you can share something that might.

📲 Send her an invitation to WomanAid — privately. Without a word.

Sometimes, one tap from you can change everything for her¹⁸.

You may not need it.
But she might²⁴

Not every woman dares to ask for help.

But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need it.

Maybe she hides the bruises behind makeup.

Maybe she apologizes for everything.

Maybe her phone is always on silent.

Maybe she laughs too quickly.

Isn’t it too much to use an app for relationships?

Not at all. We check the weather, plan work tasks, and count steps — why not support your heart and peace at home too? WomanAid is private, easy, and flexible. You only use the tools that work for you.

  • Maybe you sometimes feel misunderstood or alone, even in a stable family.

  • Maybe you want to break old habits — yelling, withdrawing, feeling invisible.

  • Maybe you want your relationship to be not just safe, but joyful.

We didn’t scream or fight. But the silence between us was louder than any argument. I felt like I was disappearing in my own home. I chose the ‘More Meaningful Time Together’ goal in Mental Flow — and it helped me take the first small step. Now we have one evening a week just for us. No phones, no noise, just real conversations. We’re slowly finding our way back to each other.

“At first, I was skeptical…”
I didn’t think I’d ever need it. But I quietly kept recording the threats — activating the hidden evidence collection in ‘game mode’ through the Safe Relationship scenario. And when the moment came — when he started again, yelling, throwing things — I tapped the screen. It looked like a puzzle game, but it was actually the hidden SOS button.

My brother and my neighbor — both added as Trusted Contacts — got the alert. While my brother and emergency services were on their way, my neighbor was already knocking on the door.
That knock might have saved my health. Maybe even my life.

Indicators That It's Time to Act⁵

  • Your partner insults or humiliates you, even casually.

  • You avoid certain topics out of fear of his reaction.

  • He controls where you go and who you talk to.

  • You feel trapped or guilty, as if everything is your fault.

  • You've thought, "If he finds out I want to leave, he might hurt me."

They broke through their fear — and took action

Most women who answered “yes” to the following statements chose to install the app and set up the Safe Relationship scenario — to break free from domestic abuse and prevent toxic relationships before they escalate.

Have you ever felt something like this?

Sometimes you wonder: ‘Is it really abuse or am I overreacting?

You feel isolated – ashamed to tell friends or family.

You constantly walk on eggshells, afraid to ‘trigger’ his anger.

It’s not your fault — and many others have been through the same. You’re not alone¹¹

1 in 3

One in three women in the EU¹² — nearly 50 million — has experienced physical or sexual violence since the age of 15. This was revealed in the first EU-wide survey on gender-based violence (EU-GBV), conducted by FRA, Eurostat, and EIGE and published in November 2024.

1 in 5

About 20% of women said the violence came from a current or former intimate partner¹³. That means one in five has faced domestic or partner violence — one of the most widespread forms of abuse in the European Union.

Only 1 in 8

Only one in eight survivors turns to the police or support services¹⁴.
This extremely low reporting rate highlights how hidden the problem remains — not just due to fear or shame, but because many women lack awareness and the tools to recognize early signs of abuse and seek help in time.

83% of women in toxic relationships wait too long to seek help. Don’t be one of them.
